Last weeks’ EF-2 tornado left a lot of trees across roadways. To assist with the clean-up, Grundy County Sheriff Clint Shrum has deployed two inmate crews to cut and gather the wood for to those in need. “This was a good opportunity for the Sheriff’s Office to serve the county,” stated Sheriff Shrum. To get a load of wood, go by the front office of the Sheriff’s Office between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The Sheriff’s Office will provide help to load the wood but cannot deliver it. This is first come, first serve. Sheriff Shrum says right now they can provide one load per person until it is gone. He hopes to have more by the weekend.
