GCSO Looking for Answers in Chandler Murder

Posted on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 11:26 am

The investigation into the death of a 26-year-old Gruetli-Laager mother continues, with officials saying they have come to a stalemate in the case. Samantha Kathleen Chandler was found dead in a remote, wooded area in Ross Creek on May 1, 2016. The autopsy reports that Chandler died from blunt force trauma to the head.

Since that time, Sheriff Shrum says his office in conjunction with TBI have interviewed several people associated with Chandler to no avail.

“We feel like there is someone who had spoken to Chandler on the same night she came up missing and that perhaps she may have told them something that is pertinent to her disappearance and murder. We desperately need that information,” stated Shrum.

The Sheriff’s Office says if anyone has any information that could help in this case to contact Captain Greg Higgins at 931-692-3466 or the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
