“We had a very successful summer, and we had an injury during one of the pre-season play days where our libero was injured and out for three weeks. We got her back at the end of last week and we are hitting the ball well and playing pretty good defense for the most part. If we continue to serve and pass the ball well, I think we will have a very good season. We have 28 girls this year with a varsity and two JV teams. There is a lot of talent and each team will be playing a lot of games this year. We’d like to see everyone come out and support them,” said Coach Alison Borne.
The JV teams played at Coffee County on Monday. The varsity and JV played at Sequatchie on Tuesday for their first district games. They hosted a pink out game Wednesday during school against Warren County. Today the teams travel to Whitwell to play.
