The Grundy boys’ golf team has been on a hot streak of late. As of play completed on September 6, the boys’ team had compiled a record of 13 wins and 2 losses, while the girls’ record stands at one win and 3 losses. Regular season play will be complete on September 13, when the teams travel to Bear Trace at Tims Ford to take on Franklin County High School and St. Andrews-Sewanee.
On August 30, the boys’ and girls’ teams hosted Chattanooga Christian School, Notre Dame, and St. Andrews-Sewanee at the Course at Sewanee. The consistently solid play of seniors John Meeks and Zach Borne has been the theme of the boys’ season. Gio Hui of SAS took medalist honors with a 2-over 38, getting an eagle at the final hole. The Jacket boys took their match, while the girls fell to a solid CCS team.

On September 6, the boys’ team headed to Sweeten’s Cove in South Pittsburg to take on Marion County High School and South Pittsburg High School. John Meeks was the medalist at 38, closely followed by Zach Meeks at 39. The Jackets swept the three-way match with room to spare, coming in with a solid team score of 177.
