GCHS 2014 Homecoming

football cheer 2014The October 17, 2014 Homecoming Football Game is GCHS vs. Bledsoe County. The game will begin at 7:00 p.m.

The theme of this year’s Homecoming is “Lights, Camera, JACKETS!”

Dress Up Days: Monday – No School; Tuesday –Tacky Tuesday/Nerd Day; Wednesday – Movie/Celebrity Day; Thursday –Patriot Day; and Friday – Purple & Gold Day.

Homecoming Pep Rally and Parade: There will be a homecoming pep rally from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at GCHS.

The homecoming parade will line up at Coalmont Fire Department at 12:30 p.m. and begin at 1:00 p.m. Students may leave school at 12:30 p.m. to watch the parade if they have been signed out by a parent permission form (no phone calls will be accepted). Participants in the parade will be permitted to leave school at 12:00 p.m. Students will not need to return to school after the parade. Buses will run on regular schedule.

Class floats include: Seniors: Toy Story; Juniors: Alice in Wonderland; Sophomores: Wizard of Oz; and Freshmen: The Great Gatsby.

The Football Homecoming Ceremony will take place before the game at 6:30 p.m.

Representing the Senior Class: Mallory Seals, Summer Shipley, and Courtney Borne.

Representing the Junior Class: Amanda Morgan Fann.

Representing the Sophomore Class: Jessica Green.

Representing the Freshmen Class: Kristin Weaver.

Ladies are being escorted by Senior football players: Terrince Bramhall, Eldon Posey, Jack Rice, Steven Baskin, Logan Meeks, Greg McDaniel, Michael Richardson, Nathan Carreto, Alex Nunley, Kevin Stewart, Christian Brown, Sam Cassidy, and Koty Anderson.

The Spirit Court:

Representing the Senior Class: Cindy Wilson.

Representing the Junior Class: Halie Monroe.

Representing the Sophomore Class: Stormy Lott.

Representing the Freshman Class: Kallie Hill.

The Student Body Court will be presented during the half time of the game.
