The sixth annual Fire on the Mountain Chili Cook-off and Car Show will be held on September 29, at Hannah Pickett Park. The Tracy City Street Rodders will host the Car Show, beginning at 10 a.m., with 100-plus cars participating.
The Chili Cook-off will be open for tasting at 12 p.m. The public can sample all the entrants’ chili for a fee. Chili Cook-off teams will represent surrounding areas as well as the mountain’s finest restaurants, businesses, and community groups.
There are two categories of awards for the chili contest – Best Judged Chili and People’s Choice. The chili can be made on site or brought to the event. Each first place winner will receive $250 and a trophy.
