In March, Grundy County High School FBLA members travelled to Chattanooga for a three day state competition involving various competitive categories. Several GCHs students who attended the competition will be moving onto the national competition in San Antonio, Texas, this summer.
aylor Misiolek, who is a junior at GCHS, will be representing Tennessee as the new FBLA State Parliamentarian. Along with Taylor, there were several other winners: the Parliamentary Procedure team of Taylor, Quaid Anderson, Hannah Butner, Summer King, and Macy Parson won first place; the Lifesmarts team of Kase Johnson and McKinley Thomas also took home first place. In addition, McKinley received a second place award for Future Business Leader, and Kase won fourth place in Electronic Career Portfolio. Kameryn Dickerson was another second place winner in the category of Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure. Zach Parson qualified as a voting delegate for nationals.
Other competitors at the Chattanooga event were Yujie Yang, Bailey Brown, Tori Tate, Feliciana Hobbs, Sarah Kilgore, Katelynn Hammonds, Caleb Stiefel, and Jasmine Munoz.
