derekAn estimated $2million in marijuana plants was discovered by an off-duty officer in Grundy County on Wednesday, July 30. The Gruetli-Laager site is thought to be the largest ever discovered in Tennessee. The operation was very sophisticated with a well, generators, and miles of irrigation hoses that served multiple grow sites. The Grundy County Sheriff’s Department, the DEA, and the THP are clearing the area using ATV’s, helicopters, and military vehicles. Pictured is Derrick Morrison a sergeant width the  Grundy County Sheriff’s Department showing how grow boxes were fed with hoses.
