The Orange Hill Memorial Association will be having its annual candlelight service to honor veterans at 6 p.m. at the Orange Hill Cemetery in Tracy City. Anyone with a loved one resting at the cemetery and all veterans are welcome. The Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard will be participating in the ceremony.

Rotary Club of Grundy County is a nonprofit organization comprised of dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship. Members meet at 12 noon on Tuesdays at Dutch Maid Bakery in Tracy City. Guest speaker for May 30 will be Erin Thomasson from 4-H Grundy County (subject to change). Non-members and those with a desire to become members are encouraged to attend. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. Cost is $10. For more information, visit the group’s Facebook page.

A fund has been set up at Citizens Tri-County bank for Robert H. Layne. The fund will help cover travel, food, and lodging to and from Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville for cancer surgery and treatments. Visit any branch to donate. For more information call 931-779-3349. All donations appreciated.
The Tracy City Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star is conducting a shoe drive fundraiser during the months of May and June to raise funds for projects throughout the year. OES will earn funds based on the total weight of the pairs of gently worn, used and new shoes collected, as Funds2Orgs will issue a check for the collected shoes. Donations accepted at 15 Catherine Avenue in Monteagle or by contacting Hollie Bailey at 931-636-3202 to arrange pickup.
The Tracy City Farmer’s Market & Swap is the first Saturday of the month from June to August from 7-11 a.m. at the Old Red Barn on Fairground Street (behind Tracy City Elementary). Call 931-592-6213 for questions or to reserve a booth.
