The Beersheba Springs Medical Clinic is gearing up for their fourth annual Dash to the Door, a walk/run to raise money for the clinic. Participants walk a designated trail to Stone Door, or run a 5K course to the Door.
Bunny Hall, a member of the clinic’s board, says, “The dash makes a state-ment that has been heartening. Each year, 200-300 entrants come together to share in the event. And, we always have room for more!”
Entry fees provide a significant portion of the clinic’s budget.
“In addition to the original building,” explained Hall, “we have been able to acquire the adjacent Church of Christ parish house which will be used for counseling and dental services.”
As of February 2018, 369 patients from Grundy Warren, Polk, Franklin, and Marion counties had received services at the clinic which first opened in 2010 with the aid of Dr. Garrett Adams and Norma Sparks.
Hall says this is the second year the run has been organized by Elizabeth Papel.
