The Grundy County High School CTE Automotive Department recently received six motors from the Infiniti plant in Decherd. The donated Turbo Charged 4 Cylinder M274 Infiniti engines that are used in Infinity M50 and Mercedes C class cars will be used for instructional purposes at GCHS. The motors are built at the Decherd Infiniti plant and distributed globally to Infiniti and Mercedes vehicle assembly plants. GCHS automotive teacher Randy King will also attend a two day training at the Infiniti plant to participate in the Takumi (master) training where an engine is disassembled and then reassembled using Infiniti procedures and methods.
