Head out to the Grundy County Fair August 14-19
The Grundy County Fair arrives Monday, at the Gruetli-Laager Recreational Park. According to organizers, attendees can expect this year’s event to be bigger and better than before.
Monday
Grounds and exhibits open at 10 a.m. Pet show at 6 p.m. The Lew Card Band takes the stage at 7 p.m. Miss Fairest of the Fair, 7 p.m., at GCHS cafeteria.
Tuesday
Grounds and exhibits open at 10 a.m. Midway opens at 6 p.m. Tennessee Idol at 7 p.m. Jr. Miss Fairest of the Fair, 5 p.m., at GCHS cafeteria.
Wednesday
Grounds and exhibits open at 10 a.m. Midway opens at 5 p.m. Gospel Night beginning at 5 p.m.
Thursday
Grounds and exhibits open at 10 a.m. Midway opens at 5 p.m. 4-H Share the Fun at 6 p.m. Miss Fairest of the Fair (exceptional citizens), 6 p.m., at GCHS cafeteria.
Friday
Grounds and exhibits open at 10 a.m. School Day – Midway opens at 3 p.m. Smith and Wesley at 7 p.m., Hard Times Band at 8 p.m., Last Rebel at 10 p.m.
Saturday
Grounds and exhibits open at 10 a.m. Midway opens at 1 p.m. Car show at 4 p.m. Rodeo at 6 p.m. Cody McCarver at 7 p.m., Monty Hill at 10 p.m.
Cornhole tournament Monday through Saturday. Bingo nights are Friday and Saturday. All-breed horseshow on Saturday, August 12, at 6 p.m.
Midway armbands: Tuesday, $16; Wednesday – Saturday, $20. Rodeo admission: Adults $10, ages 6-11 $5, 5 and under free.
