The Grundy County Department of Education is pleased to announce the expansion of GCI (Growing, Creating, and Innovating), the digital initiative by which ninth grade students will engage in a blended learning curriculum through the use of their individually assigned Chromebook for the remainder of the 2018 school year.
All ninth grade students who are enrolled at Grundy County High School will be eligible to receive a Chromebook for a $40 user charge each year. Additionally, protective bags will be dispersed. Prior to deployment, parents/ guardians and students will be required to attend an information session where they will learn about the initiative and their responsibilities while in possession of the Chromebooks, will view a short film, and will sign paper-work.
Students who do not wish to be assigned a Chromebook for the remainder of the 2018 year may be a day user at no charge.
