The Grundy/Coffee County Cattlemen’s Association will kick off the New Year with their annual meeting on January 4, 2018, beginning at 6 p.m., at Jim Oliver’s Smoke House in Monteagle. A sponsored beef meal will be provided by Cargill. The Cattlemen’s Association will conduct their annual business meeting which will include the election of new directors and an educational program. There will be a strong effort to get more beef producers involved.
There will be a short presentation by Farm Bureau. All beef producers are invited to come out, join the Coffee/Grundy Cattlemen’s Association, enjoy a good meal and learn more about what is going on in the beef industry. Please take this opportunity to get involved and learn more about ways you can improve your herd and the bottom dollar you get per head.
The Coffee/Grundy Cattlemen’s Association provides members the opportunity to learn more about the cattle industry at both the local and national level. The association also gives cattle owners/operators the opportunity to network with other cattlemen in the area. The cattlemen’s association strives to put on at least three field days/educational programs per year. The association is also looking for at least one new board member from Grundy County. If you wish to RSVP for the meeting or have any questions please contact the UT Extension Office at 931-592-3971.
