Dakota Cantrell made the cut to go to a FLW college regional with his finish June 13, on Kentucky Lake. Cantrell and his partner placed 15th in the event and will fish in October on Carlyle Lake in Illinois. If they make the top 10 at Carlyle, the team will advance to the FLW College National Championship in March.
Dakota and his partner had 8 pounds, 6 ounces in the tournament.
Cantrell just finished his freshman year at Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, Kentucky on a fishing scholarship. He is an alumni of the GCHS Bass Team and two-time former National Bass Fishing Trail Junior National Champion and Junior Angler of the Year.
One more of Campbellsville’s teams also qualified for the March tournament taking 4th in the tourney.
