Blueberry Thumbprint Cookies

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) of butter softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 can blueberry pie filling
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 – 2 teaspoons milk
  • Directions
  • Heat oven to 375. In mixer cream butter and sugar. Then slowly add in the flour (your dough will look crumbly). Once dough is made roll into balls with your hand about an inch or so big. Then use your thumb to press the center down. Add 2-3 blueberries to the center. Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Once cooled mix powdered sugar and milk – start with 1 teaspoon and add more as needed to make your glaze. You will want it semi thick as it will spread when you put it on top of the cookies. Let glaze harden and store in an air tight container.
