Big 8 Girls Shine with Travel Ball Elite

North Elementary School forward McKenzie Broadway and Monteagle Elementary School forward Ashley Green are successfully representing Grundy County’s Big 8 basketball in the Central Tennessee Tide basketball program this spring.

Tide basketballThis past weekend, the 2020 Tide took to shores of Guntersville Lake in Guntersville, defeating some of Alabama’s best known travel teams and bringing home the championship. Green finished the weekend as the Tide’s second leading scorer, posting 16 points in the team’s 49-18 championship game win over Alabama Kaos. Broadway dominated the boards, tallying up 43 points over four games.

After the Showcase on the Water Championship, the 2020 Central Tennessee Tide Girls sit at 21-4 on the season, winning 15 of their last 16 games; their only loss coming to the ninth and tenth grade Nashville Bruins.

The Central Tennessee Tide basketball organization is a regional travel basketball program based in Manchester. The program consist on 13 teams on both the girls and boys ticket.
