Mrs. Angela McBee sent this 1950’s era photo to Palmer Town Historian, David Patton. She says, “This was my Uncle Bobby Creighton’s sixteenth birthday celebration at his parents’ home. It was a surprise party and it was the responsibility of my parents, Leck and Betty Coffelt, to keep him from finding out. They kept him at our house until the time of the party.” Bobby is the son of the late Johnny and Mabel Hobbs Creighton of Palmer. He is now retired from Nissan and lives in Murfreesboro. Pictured standing (l to r): Charlie Brewer -grandfather of Nathan Sanders, Nick Creighton, Nan Ruth Magouirk Cleek, and Cecil Garner. Seated (l to r): Don Tate and Carl ‘Dit’ Britton. Kneeling (l to r): Bobby Creighton and his niece the late Vickie Creighton Hoosier.
