The end of the year celebration of the SWPBS program at Monteagle Elementary was a wet event and enjoyable by students in grades 5-8.
The final reward for Stinger Day was a water day requested by students. Water balloons, water guns, and water hoses were used as part of the fun. Mrs. Layne, the principal, even got soaked by water buckets during the event.
Students earn stinger bucks when they are caught demonstrating one of the three main standards of behavior at the school– be ready, be respectful, and be responsible. At the end of each six weeks, those students who have earned a stinger buck get to participate in a reward.
This is in conjunction with the Buzz Bucks program at the school. Stinger bucks are reserved for the upper grade students. At the end of each year, the students have a grand celebration to celebrate their good behavior.
