He was a US Army veteran and was born in Columbus, Georgia on October 12, 1952 to William John and Carolyn Ida King who preceded him in death. He is survived by his sons, Michael and Chris Hopkins; daughters, Michelle (Tommy) Cartwright, Nicole (Kevin) Brown and Amanda King; brothers, Bobby Hopkins, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Steve Hopkins, Martinsburg, West Virginia and David Hopkins, Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Alexis, Courtney, Katie, Kara, MaKayla, Chelsey, Cheyenne, Kyler and Cayden. FULTS, KENNETH DALE, 62, of Palmer, TN, died suddenly at his home on Tuesday December 31, 2013. He was a carpenter and mechanic and member of the Palmer Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Carl Fults and Beatrice Franklin “Bootsie” Nunley Fults and his sister, Judy K. Turner. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Scissom Fults; sons, Michael (Jeria) Fults, Mike (Regina) Scott and Greg (Kim) Scott; daughters, Maria (Clint) Tate and Amanda (Gerald) Jones; brothers, Jerry (Janice) Fults, Lebanon, TN, James “Pete” (Laverne) Fults, Manchester, TN and Thomas Eugene Fults, Madison, TN; 16 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; special niece, Jessica Fults; special nephew, Colby Cox; other loving nieces and nephews. CAUTHEN, MARY, ELIZABETH, age 87, of Monteagle, Tennessee passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014, in Life Care Center of Tullahoma. She was a daughter of the late Sylvester Aylor and Georgia Lee Bradford Aylor and was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Cauthen; sisters, Ann Hoffman, Barbara Lint, Marlene Thornley and Kate Fullwood. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Monteagle and was retired from the food service business, where she had been a restaurant manager. Survivors include her daughters, Annie (Thomas Ray) Stubblefield and Betty (Lorene) Cordes of Monteagle; sister, Sue Moore, Lakeworth, FL; brothers, L.V. Aylor, Summerville FL and George Aylor, West Palm Beach, FL; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday, January 5 in the funeral home chapel with Reverend James Taylor officiating. Burial was in Plainview Cemetery. RUEHLING, WILLIE, MAE, 91, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Sheltering Arms Home in Palmer with her family at her bedside. She was a member of the Gruetli-Laager First Baptist Church and was born in Coalmont on October 6, 1922. She was well known in the community for her love and genuine concern for the welfare of others, a dedicated worker in her church and an avid gardener. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Lucy Meeks Woodlee; husband, Hurl Garland Ruehling; son, Hurl Douglas Ruehling; daughter, Linda Ruehling McDaniel; brothers, Estill “Eck” and Hill Woodlee; sister, Gladys Roberts; granddaughter, Peeble McDaniel. She is survived by her loving daughter, Penny Ruehling; loving sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Bobby (Brenda), Dr. Danny (Martha), Johnny (Vivian) and Ricky (Vicki) Ruehling; daughter-in-law, Lynda Ruehling Shrum; 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 8 at the Gruetli-Laager First Baptist Church with Pastor Cary Gomer officiating. Burial was in Fall Creek Cemetery.
