BREWER, RANDALL, RALPH, 70, died Thursday December 26, 2013. He was a veteran of the Tennessee Army National Guard and was born in Palmer, Tennessee on May 29, 1943 to Ralph Otto and Emma Lorene Goforth Brewer who preceded him in death along with his; sisters, Lavada and Peggy Brewer; brother, Ricky Brewer; daughter, Tina Webb. He is survived by his companion and caregiver, Rachel E. Nodine; sons, James and Daniel Brewer; daughters, Roxanne Hendrixson, Rhonda Brewer and Peggy Kaste; brother, Ronnie Brewer; sisters, Carol Rutledge and Debbie Pennington; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 28 in the funeral home chapel. Burial was in Brown’s Chapel Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. SMALL, FRANCES, AUSTIN, age 102, of Monteagle, TN, passed away on December 17, 2013 at Sheltering Arms in Palmer. She was a retired elementary school teacher and principal in the Lincoln County School System. She was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and a member of Morton Memorial United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Urban Shofner Small, Jr.; her twin sister, Mary Austin; 2 additional sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Small (Dr. Kenneth) Malhoit of Monteagle; granddaughter, Shawn Elizabeth Malhoit of Dickson, TN; grandson, Brian Robert (Jennifer) Malhoit and great grandson, Lucas Malhoit of Spring Hill; one sister, Jean Planutis of Montgomery, Alabama, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mulberry Cemetery, Mulberry, TN. DISHROON, JOHN, WAYNE, age 64, of Pelham, TN, passed away December 21, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was an avid outdoors enthusiast and loved hunting and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith and worked many years in Winchester at Zanini Plastics. He proudly serviced his country in the United States Army from 1969-1975 during the Vietnam era. Most of all he loved his family. He was an amazing husband, father, and poppy. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Letha Dishroon; one brother, James Dishroon; one nephew Charles; one niece Jackie; and his brother-in-law Norman. Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years Pat Sheeks Dishroon; children, David Dishroon of Winchester, TN; Amy (Don) Morris of Pelham, TN; Melissa (Travis) Hill of Hillsboro, TN; Sarah Dishroon (Charles Bauman) of Decherd, TN; John (Dawn) Dishroon of Hillsboro, TN; Lisa Dishroon of Pelham, TN; 13 grandchildren; 1 great grandson and another on the way; sisters, Dola Seagroves, Edna Gilliam, Betty Morrison, Debbie Brimhall, and Gail Dickerson; brothers, Charles Dishroon and Ricky Dishroon. CORDOVA, APRIL, DAWN, age 46, of Monteagle, TN, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Emerald Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee, TN. She loved life, music and most of all her family. She is preceded in death by her mother Mildred Guess and sister Vicky Jean Falejert Close. She is survived by her loving husband Thomas Cordova; son, Casey Cordova; father, Dewey Williams; sisters, Renee Money and Bonnie Williams; brother, Ed Gulli; nieces, nephews, and friends. MEEKS, FRANK, age 85, of Tracy City, TN, passed from this life Tuesday, December 24, 2013 in Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. He was a son of the late George Meeks and Lizzie Sanders Meeks and was preceded in death by his wife, Hassie Meeks; brothers and sisters, Arthur, Tom, Wiley Virgil, Marshall, Mattie, Margaret, Viney, Barbara, and Martha. He was a coalminer. Survivors include his children, Nelson Meeks, Susan Irvin, Connie Hampton Meeks of Tracy City, Pennie Hobbs of Manchester, and Charlene Meeks of Tracy City; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. DOTSON, GEORGE, EDWARD, JR., 61, passed away suddenly Sunday, December 22, 2013 in New Providence, PA. He was preceded in death by his father George Edward (Buddy) Dotson, Sr. He was born and grew up in Sewanee, TN, served in the Navy and was a carpenter and cabinetmaker by trade. He made many treasured gifts for family members, who remember him for his positive demeanor. He was a patient, kind, and loving father and friend and enjoyed fishing, hitting golf balls, and spending time with family. He is survived by his son, Russell Dotson and wife Krista; grandson Elijah Dotson; his mother, Sammi June Finney McBee; brothers, Allen of Lovell, Maine and David of Quarryville, PA; two sisters, Mary Homerding of Georgetown, Texas, and Janet Galbreath of Fruitland Park, Florida; nephews Dylan Galbreath, Dylan Dotson and niece Southern Dotson; one great-nephew Liam Galbreath and two great-nieces, Madylan Galbreath and Mazlyn Pratt; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services were held at Dewald Funeral Home in Quarryville, PA on Friday, December 27. An interment ceremony was held in Eastern Star Cemetery, in Sewanee, TN on December 30 with Rev. Janet L. She was preceded in death by her father, Theodore Lindley Long, Jr. She is survived by her sons, Teddy Layne and Bo Thomas; mother, Carol Meeks Long; companion, Mike Evans; step-daughter, Tiffany Layne; sisters, Cindy Morrison and Tonya Davis; 4 step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. GREEN, LEONA, MARIE, HENRY, age 63, of Tracy City, TN, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013 in Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. A native of Palmer, she was a daughter of the late George D. Henry and Ruby Marie Land Henry and was preceded in death by a brother, George Henry; sisters, Christine and Zina. She was a member of Grace Village Church. Survivors include her husband, Paul L. Green; son, Doug and his wife, Roxann Green; 2 granddaughters, Jessica and Ashley, all of Tracy City; brothers, Jimmy, Joel, and Allen Henry, all of Palmer; several nieces and nephews.
