She was born on July 29, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio, was a retired bookkeeper with a local realty office, and member of People of the Living God Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter Rachel Hawkins and her sister Margaret Hall. Survivors include her husband A. J. Hawkins; parents George and Alda Franke Scullin; children, Doug Deland, Dennis Deland, Angie Partin, Juanita Hall, Suzanne Dickson, and Donald Abbott; sister, Georgia Ax; 20 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, July 12 at People of the Living God Chapel with Rev. Alfred King officiating. Interment was at Homeland Acres Cemetery.
