With the bad economic times of the previous year extending into 2010, it is good to see new businesses opening. The Grundy Food Mart in Tracy City (in the former Geary’s Raceway building) opened its doors on Monday, February 1. The store, completely remodeled and open seven days a week, offers coffee, any size for 69 cents, and no ethanol gas at the newly installed gas pumps. A deli with sandwiches, pizza, Chester Fried Chicken, and a breakfast menu is expected to open inside the store sometime this month. A grand opening celebration with a promise of great specials and give-a-ways has been planned in the very near future.
