Discover Tracy City, with sessions every Monday and Friday, June 27 through Labor Day at Dutch Maid Bakery, the Heritage Center, and Flury’s Market, will give participants the opportunity to explore Tracy
City, bake with the owner of Dutch Maid Bakery, and enjoy a picnic lunch at Grundy Lakes.
The schedule includes:
9:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. – Start your day with Cindy at the Dutch Maid Bakery with a bread making class.
10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a. m. – Tour the Heritage Center and enjoy a short presentation.
11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – Visit the Emporium for antique shopping.
11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – Shop, see photos, and hear stories of the local area at Flury’s Market.
12:00 p.m. – Return to the bakery to pick up a box lunch.
12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. – Visit Grundy Lakes for a relaxing picnic by the lakeside.
1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. – Take pictures at Foster Falls, a part of the South Cumberland Recreation Area.
2:00 p.m. – Return to Flury’s Market for an RC Cola and a Moonpie.
2:30 p.m. – Finish the day at Dutch Maid Bakery when you pick up your bread.
Discover Tracy City allows residents and visitors to reminisce through history, culture, and enjoyment of the beautiful natural surroundings of Grundy County. Participants will receive a gift from each location.
