The Monteagle Mountain Chamber of Commerce announces the annual fog Festival, set for February 13, 14, and 15. Over the weekend, activities, learning opportunities, and open houses.
Fog Fest signs will be located outside of each participating business and a complete list of activities will be available at each business location. Many activities are free, others are offered at a discount. Fog Festival Posters include a QR code, so scan and enjoy the activities on the mountain.
Some of the activities offered over the include an experience with the potter’s wheel at Hallelujah Pottery; story time, cookies and punch at May Justus Memorial Library; Louvin Brother Country Music Museum and infamous Hamper McBee Moonshine Artifacts and Museum at the Smoke House; special hikes through South Cumberland Recreation Area; Dutch Maid Bakery tour; and Mooney’s will have a spinning of yarn from wool demonstration.
Special musical performances include: David Pahanish at the Smoke House; and Travis Bowlin at the Smoke House.
Special displays include an art exhibit by Bob Short at Edgeworth Inn Art Gallery; arts and crafts vendors at Citizens Tri County Bank in Monteagle, Citizens State Bank in Monteagle, Mountain Valley Bank, and Monteagle Inn and Retreat Center; display of antique tea serving pieces and place settings at Tea on the Mountain in Tracy City.
Special discounts will be offered at businesses throughout the area including special spa treatments at Soothing Souls Day Spa and discounts at Mountain Outfitters.
Local restaurants offing specials include Ivy Wild, Monteagle Inn & Retreat Center, Tea on the Mountain, Dutch Maid Bakery, High Point, the Smoke House, and Papa Ron’s.
