  • Whitman Memorial Tourney a Success

    Mountain Archery dedicated their April 12 and 13 tournament to local sportsman Ransie Whitman who passed away recently. The tournament drew 92 archers to compete and donate as well as many others who just came to donate. The event was a resounding success and a large donation was made to the family.   • Clay To Be Inducted

      Longtime Grundy County baseball coach Frank Clay will be the final inductee into the Grundy County High school Sports Hall of Fame for the 2013-2014 class. He will be inducted during Saturday’s game against DeKalb County beginning at 3:00. All former players of Coach Clay are encouraged to come out and honor the man credited with not only coaching a team but keeping a program alive during lean times.

  • Archery Tournament for the Whitman Family

    On April 12 and 13, Mountain Archery will be hosting an archery tournament in honor of fellow archer Ransie Whitman. The tournament will consist of 20 McKenzie Targets situated on a course throughout woods and fields. There will be multiple classes to accommodate any skill level and awards for achievements.
