2013 Annual Fishing Rodeo

  On Saturday, June 8, Myer’s Hill First Congregational Methodist Church, South Cumberland State Park, and TWRA will be hosting a Free Fishing Day Fishing Rodeo from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (Rain or Shine) at Grundy Lakes in Tracy City. One of the lakes will be stocked with catfish courtesy of TWRA. Participants need to sign in at the Beach parking lot area sometime between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00

    The Nineteenth Annual St. Jude Softball Tournament has been set for June 21 and 22 at the Volunteer Park in Gruetli-Laager.     Frank Emmett Clay coached baseball at Grundy County High School from 1971 to 1982. After assisting coach Ed Cantrell in 1971, Coach Clay assumed the head coaching duties in 1972.     College Basketball Carson Newman – The Lady Eagles fell in their opening round game of the tournament 69-58 to Newberry. They finished 15-11 on the season and 9-9 in the conference.
