Cats Win Summer Race League Championship

alexa fults swim 2Alexa Fults, a member of the CATS, swam at the Summer Race League Championship held at the Fowler Center on the campus of the University of the South in Sewanee on July 12. Nine teams competed for the coveted title won by the CATS, Coffee County, and Tullahoma Swimming. The determined CATS ended the ten-year winning streak of Sewanee. This year Sewanee placed second followed by Fayetteville, Winchester, Athens, Marshall County, Shelbyville, Lawrenceburg, and McMinnville. Fifteen year-old Alexa competed in four events in the women’s 15-18 age group. She brought home four medals for her contributions to the team’s win. Alexa, a tenth grader at Grundy County High School, is the daughter of Randy and Sherri Fults of Hubbard’s Cove.
