Southern Blooms Festival at Rock City

th             Rock City will host its annual Southern Blooms Festival on May 3 and May 4. Vistors can enjoy the beautiful gardens and other activities from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Admission tot he Southern Blooms Festival is included with park admission.             

Activities include:

             The Frieda Utermoehlen Carter Garden Series – Join us on the Cliff Terrace Porch as we hear from some of the South’s finest speakers as they share their expertise on gardening, food, storytelling, and more…Southern Style!

             Group Garden Tours led by Rock City’s Director of Horticulture and Chattanooga’s Master Gardeners will be available each morning. Limited space available, first come first serve. Tours begin promptly at the Rock City Ticket Desk at 10 a.m.

             Workshops - daily interactive workshops. Full schedule below.

Enjoy Southern cuisine and the best view around at Café 7 featuring Southern Blooms specials – including special menu offerings from Virginia Willis. Located at Lovers Leap, seating available 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

            Kids Activities – Make-And-Take Arts & Crafts, daily 10am-5pm. Rock Climbing Wall, Panning for Gems, Fairyland Forrest Makeover. Have your picture made with Rocky the Elf or a Southern Belle along the Enchanted Trail.

           Live Music – Enjoy live music throughout the gardens (featuring:  The Old Time Travelers / Old Time Music and other local musicians).

          Free Gardening Advice – The Hamilton County Master Gardeners in partnership with the Food Bank will host an information table in the Vendor area near Lovers Leap. Master Gardeners will be available for garden questions and planting advice.

          Vendor Marketplace – Leathern craft, jewelry, and the Georgia Winery
