Carissa Rollins (left) and Rena Roberts Meeks are pictured on the job at Traders Market and Deli on Highway 108 next to Bufard Jones Building Supply. “These girls are good workers and I always enjoy visiting with them when I’m out walking,” said Palmer Town Historian David Patton. “They are friendly and courteous to everyone and serve everything from piping hot Pirelli’s Pizza to chicken and dumplings. The owner, Miss Cindy, is a history buff and one of the sub sandwiches is called the “Camp 4” to remember the Mountain Goat Railroad, which once ran near the store. If you like history and nostalgia, this is the place for you. Everyone is welcome to browse through the amazing array of artifacts and photos before sitting at one of the little 1950’s era tables and enjoying their meal.”
