Grundy County 4-H Public Speaking Contest Winners

Grundy 4-H public speaking winners

Congratulations to all the 4-H members that competed in the Grundy County 4-H Public Speaking Contest. After winning their school classroom competition, students were chosen to compete in the county competition. With 32 participants, the Grundy County 4-H Public Speaking contest was a huge success with the following winners:

Fourth grade – Rian Scott Fann, First Place, Palmer Elementary School

Second Place – Eli Wilson, Monteagle Elementary School

Third Place – Ayla Hoy, Palmer Elementary School

Fifth grade – Savannah Smith, First Place, Coalmont Elementary School

Second Place – Aly Cummings, Monteagle Elementary School

Third Place – Katelynn Hammonds, Palmer Elementary School 

Sixth grade – Erica Clay, First Place – Pelham Elementary School

Second Place – Paige Roden, Palmer Elementary School

Seventh grade – Dixie Nunley, First Place – Palmer Elementary School

Second Place – Abby Sons, North Elementary School

Eighth grade – Jacey Brady, First Place, North Elementary School

Second Place – Eliza Masters, Monteagle Elementary School

Third Place – Ariel Caldwell, Palmer Elementary School

After winning the county contest, participants will compete at the sub-regional contest held at Motlow State Community College in February. Congratulations to all the participants!
