“His Amazing Grace Singers,” from Mt. Ararat Cumberland Methodist Church were recently invited to sing at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, Georgia. The morning service began with former President Jimmy Carter teaching Sunday school. The youth group was honored to sing several hymns at the 11:00 a.m. service before an audience of more than three hundred. The congregation became very emotional during the children’s songs and are still sending messages and making phone calls expressing how God blessed them that Sunday morning. The children would like to thank their church family and Grace Village Church in the Flat Branch community for their prayers and all their help in making this trip possible. They also would like to thank anyone that bought a box of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (they sold over 500 dozen) or an item at their bake sale this past summer. A twelve song CD of the children is available by calling Sharon Turner at 931-592-5787.
