WILDER, BILLY, WAYNE, age 72, of Monteagle, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents Elbert and Esther Church Wilder and all of his brothers and sisters. Survivors include his children Matthew Wilder of Monteagle, TN and Amanda Wilder of Manchester, TN; granddaughter, Breanna Wilder. A memorial service was held Saturday, September 21 in the chapel of Cumberland Funeral Home with Reverend Ralph Shrum officiating. Burial was in Monteagle Cemetery. CAMPBELL, EVON, 48, of McMinnville, TN, passed away Wednesday September 18, 2013. She was born in McMinnville on October 27, 1964 and was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Franklin Campbell and Willene Phillips Porter, and sister, Patricia Little. She is survived by her daughter, Hanna Campbell; son, Joshua Dishman; sister, Donna (Leonard) Leggett; brothers, Kenneth, Jimmy, Steve and Daniel Campbell; step-sister, Kathy (Russell) Nunley; step-brothers, James (Diane) and David (Donna) Frisbee; step-mother, Sylvia Beatrice Campbell; granddaughter, Gabriella Cunningham; several loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Friday September 20, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Johnny Hobbs officiating. Burial was in Little Johnny Myers Cemetery, Gap Road, Altamont, TN. GEARY, DENNIS, CLAYTON, age 85, of Tracy City, TN, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the Haven of Rest in Tracy City. He was born in Tracy City on September 2, 1928, a son of the late Everett Geary and Winnie Davis Carrick Geary and was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae Geary; brother, Charles Everett Geary; sister, Joyce Irene Geary. Dennis had worked many jobs during his lifetime. At an early age he started working in the coalmines around Tracy City and later worked for Tennessee Consolidated Coal Company in the mines. He had driven a truck for several years. Dennis and his wife Willie Mae started the Haven of Rest Retirement Home in Tracy City to care for the elderly who needed their services. Willie Mae passed away in November o 2009. Dennis had been a minister for over 30 years and had started the Tabernacle of the Lord Church. Survivors include his children, Roy Clayton (Candy) Geary, Tracy City; Angela Denise (Michael) Steele, Tracy City; sister, Rosemary “Patty” (Berry) Dooley, Tracy City; grandchildren, Christy Lynn Steele, Ashley (Grant) Webb, Chelsi Geary, Connor Geary, Carson Geary; great grandchildren, Jaysa Caroline Cummings, Christopher Gregory Cummings, Sidney Elizabeth Davis Cummings, and Samuel Griffith Webb. Funeral services were held Friday, September 20 in the funeral home chapel with Minister Yancy D. Lane and Anthony Dishroon officiating. Burial was in Tabernacle of the Lord Church Cemetery. MILBRATH, MARY, LOU, SHOOK, of Tracy City, TN, passed away September 22, 2013 at the Sheltering Arms Home in Palmer, Tennessee where she was loved and received excellent care. She was born in Tracy City on February 14, 1919. She received her teaching certificate from Memphis State and taught at Hubbard’s Cove, Gruetli-Laager and Monteagle, before moving to Chicago where she was employed by Continental Can Company. She was also employed by Econ O Cloth in Clermont, Florida, until retirement. She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church of Tracy City and Tracy City Chapter 266 Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alan M. and Buena Cannon Shook; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret “Polly” Shook Foster and Haskell Foster; brother, Alan C. “Juke” Shook and husband Ralph E. Milbrath. She is survived by nieces, Elaine Andrews and Diana Foster, Allison (Conrad) Eddington and nephew, Brian (Vickie) Shook, as well as great nieces, Beth (Parrish) Cragar, Reid, Emory and Shea Eddington; great nephews, David (Missy) Lowrie and Thomas (Misty) Andrews, Alan Michael Shook; great-great niece, Scarlett Andrews; great-great nephews, Patrick Lowe and Hank Lowrie; sister-in-law, Lois Shook; special friend Francis Flury. Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, September 24 at the City Cemetery in Tracy City, TN with Rev. Linda Hutton officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Margaret Shook Foster Scholarship Fund at Mountain Valley Bank in Monteagle, TN. Arrangements were made by Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.

GRIMES, CHARLES, D., 61, of Gruetli-Laager, TN, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a coalminer and carpenter. He was born in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee to Hershel Wesley and Ethel Juanita Vaughn Grimes who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Carl Ray and Herbert Lee Grimes. He is survived by his wife, Carol Lynn Burnett Grimes; son, Edward Grimes; daughters, Diane Grimes and Amy (Barry) Smith; grandchildren, Christopher, Katelynn and Chelsea Smith; sisters, Juanita Griffith, Carolyn (Darwin) Shipley, Ellen (Grady) Lemons and Irene (Terry) Campbell; brothers, Earl (Brenda), William (Connie), Wayne, Joe (Charlotte) and Benny (Bobbie) Grimes; a host of loving nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday, September 25 at Burkett’s Chapel Cemetery with Ministers Don Layne and Jeremy Robinson officiating.
