CALDWELL, PATRICIA, ANN, age 72, of Coalmont, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, September 12, 1013 in Emerald Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee. She was a lifelong Christian who raised several generations of children and will be greatly missed. A daughter of the late Morris Anderson and Georgia Ann Wilson Anderson, she was preceded in death by brothers, Hollis, John T. and Tommy; sisters, Doris, Grace, Beatrice, Alice and Dorothy Geneva; daughter-in-law, Karen Caldwell; granddaughter, Deanna Rollins. Survivors include her husband, Jim Caldwell; children, Ricky Caldwell, Cowan; Terry (Sherri) Caldwell, Danny “Hot Rod” (Dana) Caldwell, Tammy (Jeff) Cannon, all of Coalmont; grandchildren, Christie, Kyle, Brandon, Shawn, Bradley, Sarah, Miranda, Shae, Travis and Nate; great grandchildren, Carson, Harper, Brannon and Eli; sisters, Estelle Ladd, Monteagle, Betty Joe Gilliam, Tullahoma and Freda Gutherie, Hendersonville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday, September 15 in the funeral home chapel with Minister Terry Winton officiating. Burial was in Monteagle Cemetery. JOHNSON, HILDA, DAPHINE, age 64, of Pelham, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at her residence. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Gladys Roberts; brothers, Charles Benton, Billy, Marshall, Richard P. and Louis Roberts; sisters, Rachael Roberts. Survivors include her son Brady Eugene (Yvonne) Johnson, Riddleton, TN; one grandson, Brady Noah Johnson; brother, James Roberts, Jasper, TN; sister, Rosa Lee Delk, Pelham, TN; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held Sunday, September 15 in the Roberts Cemetery with Pat Magouirk officiating. Arrangements were made by Cumberland Funeral Home, Monteagle, TN.

LECROY, JEFFERY, “DARIN,” of Palmer, TN, died Monday, September 9, 2013 from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was a member of the Iron Workers Union Local 704, Chattanooga, TN since 1989. He was born in Palmer on November 22, 1965 and was preceded in death by his father, Larry LeCroy. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Caldwell LeCroy; sons, Zackary Darin and Thomas Edward LeCroy; mother, Donna Shadrick LeCroy; sister, Kristi Fults; grandmother, Mamie LeCroy. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 12 in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Alex Rollins and Terry Winton officiating. Burial was in Palmer Cemetery. MCDANIEL, EDDIE, L., 49, of Beersheba Springs, TN, died Tuesday, September 10, 2013. He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on August 11, 1964 and was preceded in death by his brother, Dexter McDaniel. He is survived by his wife, Donna Huntley McDaniel; son, Brandon (Jacaleah) McDaniel; daughter, Brittany (Toby) Woodlee; parents, Oscar Howell and Katie Campbell McDaniel; brothers, Mike (Darlene), Johnny and Desi (Brenda) McDaniel; sisters, Scarlett Caldwell and Darlene (Ricky) Nunley; grandchildren, Tripp, Wrylee and Jaydis McDaniel, Knoxx Woodlee. Funeral services were held Friday, September 13 in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Wayne Norris and Jim King officiating. SULLIVAN, MARTHA, KENNER, 73, of Gruetli-Laager, TN, passed away Friday September 13, 2013 at her home. She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on July 4, 1940 to Lee and Icie Lou Fults Kenner who preceded her in death along with her sisters, Polly Bowman, Molly Layman and Betty Swindle. She is survived by her sons, Raymond (Cindy) and Edward (Mary) Borne; daughters, Angela (Johnny) Bray, Margaret Sullivan and Paula (Kirk) Phillips; sisters, Velvie Russell, Deborah Meeks and Dellene Bivens; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a host of loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday, September 15 in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Billy Bice, Jonathan Bivens and Robert Lee Keener officiating. Burial was in Brown’s Chapel Cemetery. POTTS, BERTHA, C., 81, of Gruetli-Laager, TN, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013. She was born on April 25, 1932 to Louie H. and Mazie Graham Campbell who preceded her in death along with her husband, Junior Potts; brothers, Buford, Tom, Ralph “Mousie” and Kenley Campbell. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Jimmy) Vanallman; grandson, Joe (Linda) Sanders; great-granddaughter, Haley Sanders; brothers, Jim and Rod Campbell; sisters, Katie McDaniel, Joann Keener, Lucille Scissom, Gertrude Curtis and Diane Shrum. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 17 in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Allen Griffith and Jim Bob Morrison officiating. Burial was in Palmer Cemetery. ANDERSON, ROBERT, LEE, age 49, of Tracy City, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in Vanderbilt Medical Center. He worked in the building construction business as a drywall hanger and finisher. He is survived by his children, Robbie Anderson, Monteagle, Rebecca Anderson, Ft. Worth, TX, and Rhianna Anderson, Tracy City; parents, Sam and Brenda Anderson, Tracy City; his companion, Tasha Anderson; brother, Thomas (Susie) Anderson, Niceville, FL; sisters, Donna Layne and April (James) Sanders, both of Tracy City; maternal grandmother, Edna Nunley, Tracy City; grandchild, Rozlyn Anderson. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 14 in the funeral home chapel with ministers Bobby Winton and Yancy Layne officiating. Burial was in Plainview Cemetery. KILBY, MAUDIE, LEWIS, 88, of Tracy City, TN, passed away at Golden Living Nursing Home in Winchester, TN on September 17, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Kilby; her parents, Dudley and Lillie Lewis; brothers, D.L. Lewis and Joe D. Lewis; sister, Bonnie Freeman. She was born on September 23, 1924 in the White Hall Church community and grew up a Viola farm girl. After high school, she attended a business college for a time, but home sickness brought her back to the farm. During World War II she worked at Northern Field in Tullahoma and at Oak Ridge, where through a co-worker and future sister-in-law, she met the young sailor, John Kilby. They were united in marriage on June 17, 1945. After John’s discharge, they lived in Tracy City, Chattanooga, and Dayton, started a family, and eventually ended up back in Tracy City where in 1953 they purchased the Modern Dry Cleaners and ran until their retirement in 1985. She was a devoted mother who loved reading and travel, and later in life became a proud and doting grandmother and great grandmother. She was a longtime member of Christ Episcopal Church in Tracy City.  She is survived by daughter, Vicki Kilby Geary (Max, Jr.) of Brentwood; son, Ronald E. Kilby (Sharon) of Cowan; brother, Harold Lewis (Bobbie); and sisters, Betty Lewis and Patty Hancock (Hoover) of Viola. She was the beloved “Mimi” to grandchildren, Kim Keidel (Kevin) of Franklin; Max D. Geary, III (Robin) of Spring Hill; Scarlett Cole (Eric) of Cowan; and Cody Kilby of Mt. Juliet; and to great grandchildren, Mary and Mason Keidel, Eliott and Owen Geary, and Zoe and Chloe Cole. Visitation will be at the chapel of Foster and Lay Funeral Home, Tracy City, Wednesday, September 18 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Foster and Lay Funeral Home with Clayton Jones officiating. She will be missed by many. Arrangements were made by Foster and Lay Funeral Home Tracy City, TN.
