Friday, September 13: 3:00 p.m. – Grundy Lakes Canoe Float – Meet Ranger Park at the Grundy Lakes parking lot for a fun time paddling around the lakes. Wear clothes you can get wet. Call ahead for reservations: 931-924-2956.

8:30 p.m. – Campfire Stories
Meet Park at the Grundy Forest Pavilion for a group session on story telling. Be prepared to hear tall tales, ghost stories, and quirky mishaps. The only admission fee is a story of your own!

Saturday, September 14: 10:00 a.m. – Introduction to Rock Climbing – Call ahead to reserve a spot for this exciting introductory course in Rock Climbing! Meet Ranger Park at the Foster Falls Parking Lot for a brief safety speech before hitting the rocks. Bring water and comfortable clothing. Call ahead at 931-924-2956.

1:00 p.m. – Investigative Hike – Meet Ranger Park at the Grundy Forest Pavilion for an off trail experience to really explore the flora and fauna of the region. Wear sturdy shoes and long pants.

3:00 p.m. – Foster Falls Swim – Meet Ranger Park at the Foster Falls parking lot for a short hike to the base of Foster Falls for a refreshing swim to escape the heat!

5:00 p.m. – Mushroom Hunt – Meet at the Grundy Forest Pavilion for an informative and fun look into the world of Mycology. Wear long pants and sturdy shoes.

Sunday, September 15:

1:00 p.m. – Beginners Archery – Visit the Visitor’s Center for a fun afternoon of archery lessons! Great for kids and family outings. We will be learning safety with a bow and practice on a safe range. Limited Spots available, call for reservations at 931-924-2956.

3:00 p.m. – Backcountry Cooking – Come on out to the Visitor’s Center for a demonstration on how to cook for yourself or a group while hiking. Bring an appetite! Call ahead for reservations at 931-924-2956.

4:00 p.m. – Meadow Trail Wildflower Walk – Meet Ranger Park at the Visitor’s Center for a short 1.3 mile hike around the Meadow Trail to identify the wildflowers of the season! Wear sturdy shoes and bring any guidebooks you may have.

Wednesday, September 18: 2:00 p.m. – Sycamore Falls Hike – Meet Ranger Park at the Grundy Forest Parking Lot for a 2.5 mile moderate hike to the beautiful Sycamore Falls. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water.

5:00 p.m. – Foster Falls Swim – Meet Ranger Park at the Foster Falls parking lot for a short hike to the base of Foster Falls for a refreshing swim to escape the heat!

7:00 p.m. – Snakes of the Plateau – Join Ranger Park at the Visitor’s Center for an interactive and informative show on many of the region’s snakes. Bring only yourself and a warm curiosity!

Thursday, September 19:

5:00 p.m. – Greeter Falls Hike – Meet Park at the Greeter Falls parking lot for a short 1 mile total hike to Greeter Falls and back. Perfect for those hot days!

4:00 p.m. – Meadow Trail Wildflower Walk – Meet Ranger Park at the Visitor’s Center for a short 1.3 mile hike around the Meadow Trail to identify the wildflowers of the season! Wear sturdy shoes and bring any guidebooks you may have.
