The Grundy County Lions Club is hosting the 7th Annual Grundy County Lions Club Golf Tournament Saturday, August 17 at Fall Creek Falls State Park in Pikeville, Tennessee. The corporate sponsor of this event is Citizens Tri-County Bank. “Citizens Tri-County Bank has taken the lead on being the corporate sponsor of the annual golf tournament since its inception. We are so thankful for the commitment and leadership of Citizens Tri-County Bank and all of our committed sponsors and teams. Many have supported us from the beginning,” said Vicki Meeks, club president. The club is still seeking hole sponsorships for the event. You can sponsor a hole in the tournament for $100 and help to send residents from the Grundy County area to the eye doctor and to purchase glasses. There are also other sponsorships available. The Grundy County Lions Club’s main focus is on improving vision for children and senior citizens, and those that hold a job but are still not able to purchase glasses. Vision health is crucial to obtaining a good education and a good job.
There are still a few spots available for golf teams that may be interested in enjoying a great morning of golf, a great lunch, and cash prizes, while helping others in need. A four-man scramble team entry is $300, with a hole-in-one contest and mulligans available. There will be an opportunity to win $15,000 for a hole-in-one at 150 yards on hole #5. If you are interested in helping out by team or sponsorship, please call Gayle VanHooser at 931-692-3621 or 931-205-7115.
