NUNLEY, MARY, ALYCE, age 79, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away July 23, 2013 at Life Care Center of Hixson. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Henry Bennett Fletcher and Dorothy Irene Huffine Fletcher. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Clarence Nunley of Chattanooga, TN; son, Peter Dyck of Apison, TN; daughters, Janice Rachels and Cherylyn (Jimmy) Hartline, all of Chattanooga, TN; brothers, Ronald Fletcher, Charles Fletcher, both of TX; and Tommy Fletcher of Bessemer, AL; sister, Wilma R. Stanly of Hixson, TN. Graveside services were held Friday, July 26 at Orange Hill Cemetery in Tracy City, TN with Pastor Jerry Arnold officiating. BAGGENSTOSS, PAULINE, BRAWLEY, age 96 of Tracy City, TN, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at The Bridge at Monteagle. She was born February 6, 1917 in Hubbard Cove, TN to the late Lou and Norman Brawley. She worked as a cake decorator and baker for Dutch Maid Bakery and was a member of Hobbs Hill Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Baggenstoss in 1991 and a son, Ronald Baggenstoss on August 1, 2004. She is survived by a son, Fred Baggenstoss of Monteagle; three grandsons, Ken Baggenstoss of Tracy City, Andy Baggenstoss of Chattanooga and Taylor Baggenstoss of Monteagle; one granddaughter, Amelia Lynn Baggenstoss of Monteagle; great grandchildren, Katlyn Blair Baggenstoss and Lydia Page Baggenstoss of Chattanooga; and nephews, Frank Brawley of Tracy City and Mickey George of Montezuma, GA. Graveside services were held Saturday, July 27 at Plainview Cemetery with Rev. Clayton Jones officiating. Arrangements were made by Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, Winchester, TN. 

CLEEK, GENE, 77, of Gruetli-Laager, TN, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013. He was a co-owner of Cleek’s Garage, attended Sweeton Hill Methodist Church and was a member of the Grundy County Bass Club. He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on April 30, 1936 to Hearl and Lillie Ross Cleek who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Don and Charles Cleek; sisters, Olean Hart and Kennetha Suter; sons, Gary and Dennis Cleek; grandson, Jeremy Layne. He is survived by his wife, Alpha Gay Dishroon Cleek; daughters, Gina Cleek, Vicki (Mike) Winton and Lisa Layne; brother, Bill Cleek; twin sister, Shelva Jean (Austin) Lewis; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 27 in the funeral chapel with Ministers, John Potts, Jacob Anderson, Mike Winton and Keith McBee officiating. Burial was in Palmer Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.

COFFELT, BRUCE, E., 64, of Gruetli-Laager, TN, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013. He was a US Army veteran of Vietnam and Desert Storm, a member of the Palmer First Nazarene Church, the Vietnam Veterans of America #0203 in Chattanooga, the Carpenters Local #74 in Hixson and had worked at TVA. He was a training NCO for the Tennessee National Guard and was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Rosa Nell Brewer Coffelt. He is survived by his wife, Gail Coffelt; brothers, Rev. Danny (Karen) and Lebron (Stacey) Coffelt; sisters, Sheila (Donnie) Stewart, Sherry (Jerry) Layne and Shasta (Scott) Floyd; loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 30 in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Danny Coffelt and Riley Anderson officiating. Burial was in Fall Creek Cemetery with military honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. Arrangements were made by Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
