Coach Nick Bryant reports that his team got in another solid week of practice and got a lot accomplished. “We hosted a 7 on 7 passing game with Coffee and Franklin County. We tied with Coffee County and beat Franklin County. It was an exciting day for us. Many players played well on both sides of the ball with many Grundy fans out to support the team.

Offensively we started out a bit sluggish but quickly got rolling. On the defensive side we played real good from start to finish, with some of the younger guys doing real well,” said Bryant.

The Quarterback Club is having a meeting today (Thursday) about the Jamboree and Coach Bryant says a lot of help is still needed for that event. “We still need help for the jamboree and the season from fans and parents. If you are interested in helping, contact Kenny Nolan, Carter Underhill or myself to get involved,” added the coach.

Grundy has two more scrimmages set before the Jamboree traveling to Whitwell August 6, and to Coffee County August 13.

The Kickoff Dinner has been set for August 12 at Grundy County High School at 6 p.m. As always fans can meet the team and coaches as well as enjoy a great meal at that event.
