PAYNE, JAMES, EVERETT, of Chattanooga and formerly of South Pittsburg, TN, died at his residence on May 21, 2013. He was 88 years old. He was a World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He retired from TVA and was a member of St Martin’s Episcopal Church in Chattanooga. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Frances Payne; daughters, Janie (Larry) Craig of Fayetteville; Mary (Pat) Marsh of Shelbyville, and Lynn Poffo of Seminole, FL; grandchildren, Amy (Scott) Damstrom of Spring Hill; Lindsay (Tripp) Wiles of Charleston, SC; Jim (Libby) Craig of Fayetteville; Rob (Katherine) Marsh and John Marsh of Shelbyville; Noelle Anderson of Palm Harbor, FL; Devon Anderson of Largo, FL and 5 great-grandchildren. SCOTT, PATRICIA, SUE, 71, of Gruetli-Laager, TN, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was a member of the Kimball Church of Christ and was very active in the Swiss Colony Cemetery Association and the Grundy County Historical Society. She was born in Chattanooga on November 3, 1941 to Claude and Hazel Hargis Scott who preceded her in death along with her son, Trent Fults and brother, Kenneth Scott. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Jim) Colbert; brother, Jimmy (Barbara) Scott; grandchildren, Max and Katie Colbert; sister-in-law, Delores Scott; nieces, Cindy (Greg) Sharp and Amanda (Gerald) Jones; nephews, Mike (Regina), Greg (Kim) and Kenny Scott. Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, June 1, at the Swiss Colony Cemetery with Minister Billy Watkins officiating. BISHOP, CHARLES, E., SR., 83, of Coalmont, TN, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013 at Sheltering Arms Home in Palmer, TN. He was born on September 17, 1929 in Vicksburg, MS being born 8th of 9 children. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Beersheba Springs, TN and was a pharmacist most of his adult life, working at Palmer Drug as his last job. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Bishop; son, Charles E. Bishop, Jr. of McDonald, TN; daughter, Pamela Pierre, Chattanooga, TN; sisters, Patsy Hutson, of Puckett, MS and Gloria Logan of Pearl, MS. Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, May 29, at the Collegedale Memorial Park.
