Do you wish you had more money left over at the end of the month? Want to learn how to deal with children’s challenging behaviors? Want to cook and eat cheaper and healthier?
You can learn how to do all these things – and a lot more – if you come to the 17th Annual Community Partnership Conference being held all day on Friday, April 19, at the Kimball Church of Christ at Kimball in Marion County. Sponsored by Sequatchie Valley Head Start, this year’s annual event will include more than 20 expert workshops that can be taken for up to four hours of state-approved training; a featured speaker, Jeff Harmon, a public defender in southeast Tennessee who once won tens of thousands of dollars on the TV game show “Jeopardy”; a lunch-time musician, Jesse Black, who has appeared in well over 100 events in seven different states; and a free lunch (nominal contributions encouraged) sponsored by Citizens State Bank.
Workshop sessions begin at 8:30 a.m. (CST) with three breakout sessions, one from 8:30 to 10, another from 10:15 to 11:30, and a third from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m. A fourth, optional, hour-long workshop begins at 2:30.
Persons who plan to attend and stay for lunch are asked to make reservations with Crystal Samples at Sequatchie Valley Head Start (423-837-6724) or firstname.lastname@example.org.
