She was born in Palmer, TN, on April 17, 1931 to Hearl and Lillie Ross Cleek who preceded her in death along with her first husband, Coleman Layne; husband J. B. Hart; brothers, Don and Charles Cleek; sister, Kennetha Suter; brother-in-law, Carl Suter. She is survived by her sons, Charles E. (Joyce) Layne and Dwayne (Wanda) Hart; daughters, Hearlene (Randy) Disheroon, Ruby (Robert) Johnson, Renee’ (Keith) McBee and Elaine (Richard) Mell; brothers, Bill (Late Helen) Cleek and Gene (Alpha Gay) Cleek; sister, Shelva Jean (Austin) Lewis; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sisters-in-law, Tressie “Cotton” and Venova Cleek; a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday, March 25 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Keith McBee and Chris Corum officiating. Burial was in Palmer Cemetery. WORLEY, MICHAEL, DAVID, “PEANUT,” 49, of the Griffith’s Creek Community passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013. He was born in Whitwell on March 14, 1964 and was preceded in death by his brother, Tim Worley. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Dot Layne Worley; daughters, Christan (Ethan) Dykes and Micah Worley; brothers, Derriel (Janice) Worley and Tony (Wendi) Worley; niece, Latosha Worley; nephews, Jimmy Derriel and Tony Reagan Worley; great niece, Kynslee. BLAUCH, GEORGE, LEON, 80, of Tracy City, TN, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013. He was born August 31, 1932 in Short Gap, West Virginia to Bruce Fay and Ethel McKenzie Blauch, who preceded him in death along with his sisters, Evelyn Hiett and Margaret Ward; his brothers, Haven, John, Homer, Thomas and Bruce, Jr. He is survived by his wife Doris Blauch; his son James Blauch and wife Kathie of Hudson, MA; his grandchildren Luke and Nick of Harvard, MA; his step-son Hector Ayende and wife Mary Ann of McMinnville; his step-grandchildren Sierra and Jacob of McMinnville; his sisters Loretta Thomas and Darlene Gulino both of Short Gap, WV. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013 in the Layne Funeral Home Chapel in Palmer, TN with Jose Bonet officiating. MEEKS, RICKY, ALLEN, age 54, of Coalmont, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at his home. He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Meeks. He was employed at M-Tech in Manchester and was a veteran of Desert Storm during the Iraq War. Survivors include his children, Blake Meeks and Robin Meeks of Coalmont; mother, Mary O’Dear, Coalmont; brothers, Claude Meeks, Jr., Tracy City and Dennis Meeks, Coalmont; sisters, Mary Haynes, Tracy City and Donna Jones, Coalmont; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held Sunday, March 23 in the funeral home chapel with Minister Clayton Jones officiating. RICE, GWENDOLYN, MAXINE, LEDFORD, passed away March 16, 2013 at her home in Forest Park Georgia. She was born December 17, 1954 and is preceded in death by her mother, Oma Ruth Graham Ledford and father George Samuel Ledford, Sr.; brother, Ronald Ledford and nephew Charles Roger Ledford. She was passionate about her hobbies throughout her life which included her love of animals, music, photography, and genealogy but her greatest love was fishing and camping in the North Georgia Mountains. Survivors include her daughter Christina Loder and husband Ron and grandson Ronnie Loder; brother, Charles Ledford; sister, Jean Jackson and husband, Bernard; brother, George Ledford, Jr. and wife, Lesley; brother, Keith Ledford and wife, Kym; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as her family of friends and co-workers at PawnMart, friends in the Forest Park Law Enforcement community and her pet and loving companion, Sadie. A memorial service was held Sunday, March 24 at First United Methodist Church of Tracy City, TN. Interment of cremated remains was at Plainview Cemetery in Tracy City, TN. TRUSSELL, JAMES, HOMER, “PAPA,” age 100, of Decherd, TN, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Lakeside Manor. He was born November 4, 1912 in Pelham, TN to the late James Wesley Trussell and Eugenia Gilliam Trussell and was the owner and operator of Trussell’s Service Station and drove Franklin County Schoolbus #4. He always had a big garden and provided fresh vegetables to all his family and friends. A major life accomplishment was sending all five of his children to college. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille “Mimi” Trussell; sisters, Elsie Wilson and Abbie Stroausbaugh; and brothers, Hudson, Ward, Paul and Hoover Trussell. Survivors include his children, Ronnie (Patsy) Trussell of Winchester; Billy Trussell of Columbia, SC; Ray “Jabber” (Vivian) Trussell of Belvidere; Eddie “Peggy” Trussell of Columbia, SC and Jo Ann (Jim) Smith of Gulf Breeze, FL; brother, Wendell (Mary Ellen) Trussell of Venecia, CA; sister, Sandra (David) Wilkinson of Pelham; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Anderson and Jessie Nunley Anderson; wife, Helen Levan Anderson; daughter, Jessica Anderson; son, James Edward O’Dear; brothers and sisters, Johnnie May Orange, Chester Anderson, Ernest Ed Anderson, Betty Allen, and Virginia Troxler. He was a retired coalminer and loved farming, fishing, and telling stories. Survivors include his children, Jamie Anderson, Tammy (Russell) Brown, Pamela Anderson, all of Tracy City; Kenneth (Peggy) O’Dear, Coalmont; Theda Cheryl (Charlie) Daniels, Brantley, GA; Robert Anderson, Lake Wales, FL; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was a retired foundry worker, a native of Kentucky, a son of the late Thomas Franklin Ledford and Bessie Lowhorn Ledford and was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Ledford; brothers and sisters. Survivors include his children, Rose and Amy Ledford, both of Tracy City; Mike, Billy, Mark, Danny, and Sherrie Ledford, all of Georgia; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
