GIPSON, PAMELA, age 60 of Sewanee, passed away, February 18, 2013 at Vanderbilt Medical Center following an extended illness. She had a genuine love for all flowers of the earth and was a devoted member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Tracy City, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Margaret Dotson, and her sister, Joan Spangler. She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Richard Gipson; daughter, Amanda Youngblood of Sewanee; sons, Harold (Dana) Youngblood of Tracy City, Bruce Ramono and Adam Ramono both of Sewanee; sisters, Scarlett Leach and Judy Moore (Lee) both of New Market, AL; grandchildren, Kevin, Makayla and Noah. Memorial services were held at the Church of God of Prophecy in Tracy City, TN on Sunday, February 24. Online condolences may be sent to www.watsonnorth.com. STEARNS, WENTZIE, MILDRED, 96, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 23, 2013. She was a member of the Hinsdale, IL Seventh-day Adventist Church and was born in Calhoun, Georgia on March 28, 1916 to the late Joseph Marion Hall and Exie Lovie Dobson Hall who preceded her in death along with her husband, Hugh Robert Stearns Jr.; sisters, Gladys Morehead and Louise Silver. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Charles) Bishop, Cumberland Heights and Cheryl (Gordon) Adams, Bishop, CA; grandchildren, Kelly L. Mapes and Wendy G. O”Rafferty; 5 great grandchildren. She will be cremated and her ashes buried beside her husband in the Collegedale Memorial Park. Arrangements were made by Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.

RISKO, GENEVA, DICKERSON, age 89, passed away February 21, 2013 at Newnan Piedmont Medical Center in Newnan, GA. Funeral services were held February 24 at Altamont Church of Christ in Altamont, TN with Minister Edgar C. Beard officiating. Burial was in Altamont City Cemetery. SCOTT, LESTER, BENNETT, JR., age 80, of McMinnville, TN passed away February 21, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and was preceded in death by parents, Lester Bennett and Thelma Killian Scott, Sr.; grandson, Bo Lynn McCormick; brother, Robert Boyce Scott. Survivors include his wife Bettye Cunningham Scott of McMinnville, TN; six children and their spouses, Jason and Lesa Scott, Tyler Scott, Telisa McCormick, and Niki Woodlee, all of McMinnville, TN; Lori and Joe Nunley, Bowling Green, KY; and Jennifer ford of Smithville, TN; 9 grandchildren, Beth Nunley, Ty Nunley, Mitch Nunley, Cody Fults, Jordan McCormick, Blathen Woodlee, Landon Scott, Brayden Scott and Brynn Woodlee; 3 great grandchildren, Skylar Fults, Allie Nunley and Aiden Nunley; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Johnny Bohr, Beersheba Springs, TN; Joyce and Price Scott, McMinnville, TN; several nieces and nephews. Military grave rites were provided by VFW Post 5064, American Legion Post 173. Graveside services were February 24 at Shiloh Cemetery in Warren County, TN.  Arrangements were made by High Funeral Home, McMinnville, TN.
