NORMAN, PAUL, BENSON, 96, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Hallam Aged Care in Melbourne, Australia, where he had moved from Monteagle in 1963. He was born in Monteagle April 22, 1916 to the late Rev. William Franklin Norman and Lucy (Gregory) Norman, who preceded him in death along with his wife Helen (Meacham) Norman and two sons, Wayne and Jeffery. Survivors include his son Larry; grandchildren, Jessie, Bradley, Joshua, Jeffrey, Laurence, Tracey, Kelly, Mark, and David; many great grandchildren, all from Australia, and many cousins, nephews and nieces in the Monteagle area and throughout the USA. Funeral services were held at St. Martins Belgrave South (Melbourne) officiated by his son, Pastor Larry Norman. Burial was at Cheltenham Memorial Park in Melbourne, Australia.
LAYNE, MARVIN, KING, age 54, of Tracy City, Tennessee, passed away Monday, December 31, 2012 at his residence. He was a skidder operator in the timber business. Preceding him in death was his parents, Tommy Layne and Margie King and sister, Teresa King. Survivors include his wife, Darlene R. Layne; children, Bobby Layne and Bambi Layne; brothers, Clell Lindon Layne, Tracy City and Thomas Layne, Gruetli-Laager; sisters, Cindy Borne, Gruetli-Laager, Zonia Sanders and Rosie Anderson, both of Altamont.
