Hank Lowrie (center) earned Angler of the Year honors for the Tennessee District of the National Bass Fishing Trail (www.nbtbass.com). Lowrie won five of the club’s eight one-day tournaments during the season and finished second at the District Championship to win the points’ race. This was his second time winning and first since 2007. He also notched the big fish of the year for the juniors for the third year in a row and fourth time overall. Pictured (left) is Weslee Elliott of Morrison who finished third in the Angler of the Year race; and (right) is Kyle Ingleburger of Winchester who won the district championship tourney in October and one of the one-day tourneys. All received their awards at the annual banquet at Jim Oliver’s Smokehouse in Monteagle on November 30.
