Chief Virgil McNeece of the Monteagle Police Department took receipt of a $5000 grant from the Governor’s Highway Safety Office and representative Clint Shrum. This is Monteagle’s seventh year in the program. Chief McNeece and Shrum have worked together to acquire over $81,000 in grant funding for the police department over the past seven years.
